Regarding "Sigma Motion":
I did not move my finger across the image as instructed. Instead I simply narrowed my eyes and looked at it, and this is what I found: the stripes move at a steady pace ONLY from right to left. Can you explain why?
Thanks

I found with the Silhouette Illusion that if I followed the raised leg and called out whether it passed in front of or in back of the standing leg that I could control the perception of direction.
I found this surprising that my verbal cues could so effectively regulate visual perception.
By reversing the call-out I could immediately reverse my perception within two passes.
Is this as effective for you?

Super Seite, allerdings wäre sie mir auf deutsch lieber, da einige "Fachvokabeln" nicht ganz so leicht verständlich sind bei den Erklärungen...

Wow, what a great site! Some of the illusions, particularly the "motion-induced blindness" one, were absolutely mind-boggling! I had a blast taking the complete tour. (I'm still seeing spots, ha ha, but it was worth it!)
On the "missing-fundamental motion inversion" illusion, you wrote: "And the bottom one? It looks like it’s moving to the right." Interestingly, I saw it moving to the left the whole time. :)

FOR MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Thus changing ISI causes perception to switch from “element motion” (ISI = 0 ms) to “group motion” (ISI ≈ 15 [ONLY FIFTEEN!!] ms).
